Educational Resources

Resources for teachers relating to the vocal orchestra story and wartime internment in the Far East. The experience of civilian men, women and children in captivity during World War II can be linked to the National Curriculum requirements of Key Stage 1 & 2 and Key Stage 3.

The PDF documents below detail activities for different classes:

Activities from the English document, together with resources on the Links & Bibliography page could also be used for History classes. The subject matter can of course also lead on to discussion in class of civilians in captivity today.

N.B. These resources may be freely used by schools and teachers without permission.
