You might like to consider adding a recent publication by Gilly Carr and Harold Mytum (ed.) called “Cultural Heritage and Prisoners of War: Creativity Behind Barbed Wire” (New York: Routledge, 2012). I used it for recent research on the Vocal Orchestra as part of a musicology degree at Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney). The articles relating to the significance of ‘created’ artefacts and ephemera retained by internees were very interesting and pertinent to the Vocal Orchestra.
